Here is information for the Manitowoc trip for the 2023 Carferry Cup

Both the JV and Varsity soccer teams will be traveling across Lake Michigan on the SS Badger on Friday, August 25. We wil be taking the 9:00 am sailing out of Ludington arriving in Manitowoc at 12:00 pm (CT). We will be returning on Saturday, August 26 on the 2:00 (CT) sailing arriving in Ludington at 7:00 pm.

Parents are more than welcome to travel across and support the team. Here is information for parents that are interested in traveling.

The rate is $140 round trip per adult and $150 round trip for a car. That is a 10% discount.

For hotels: 

The team will be staying at the Inn on Maritime Bay (101 Maritime Dr, Manitowoc, WI 54220). We have a block of rooms that can be booked until July 25, 2023. The rate is $149.00 before taxes.

We have another block of 10 rooms at the Econolodge (908 Washington St, Manitowoc, WI 54220). The rate here is $82.17 before taxes. This block and rate is good until Friday, August 4.

Both hotels are near the Lake Michigan Carferry Dock and with 2 miles of the Ron Rubick Municipal Athletic Field, 2200 Grand Ave, Manitowoc, WI 54220

Here is the schedule of events for the soccer teams (Note some details are still be planned):

9:00 am Badger crossing

12:00 pm (CT) arrive in Manitowoc. Board Lincoln High School bus transport to hotel to drop off luggage and change for practice.

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm practice at Rubick Field Manitowoc

3:30 - 6:00 pm return to hotel check in to rooms, events still to be planned

6:00 pm meet to leave for Mona Shores/Lincoln High School Football game @ Ron Rubick Municipal Athletic Field 2200 Grand Ave, Manitowoc, WI 54220

7:00 pm Lincoln High vs Mona Shores football game and team picnic with Lincoln high soccer program

9:00 pm Return to hotel after football game

10:00 pm lights out

6:30 am Wake-up calls, pack up meet in lobby for breakfast

7:50 am leave for soccer fields

8:00 am arrive at soccer fields

This is a really great opportunity for our players. Thank you in advance for your support in making this event happen. If you are unable to travel across, we are working on live streaming of the varsity games and recording the jv games for later viewing.

Currently the school district is planning to have bus transportation for all away games. If that changes I will let you know. Here are the bus departure times and locations for departure.

You will need the following Items when you create the accounts:

• Separate email addresses for each parent that registers and a separate student email address
• Insurance information
• you can create parent or student accounts in any order - but have to create an account for each.

FYI: There is a pop-up on the parent account for optional insurance - this is not the athletic fee and not required.

The Athletic Department at Ludington Area Schools now hosts their Pre-Participation Athletic Forms online with BigTeams.This digital platform will allow you, and your student(s), to complete and access athletic forms via computer, tablet, or mobile phone. It is HIPAA, COPPA and FERPA compliant. A link to the privacy policy is located at the bottom of the Sign in page at https://studentcentral.bigteams.com/.

Parent and student must create separate accounts, using different emails and/or mobile numbers.

Important: Students must be sure to create accounts using accurate information, including their Official Name from school registration, DOB, high school graduation year and school. You can click SELF HELP on the right of the screen for walkthroughs of the account creation, account linking, and athletic forms functionality.
STEP 1. Go to https://studentcentral.bigteams.com/ once on the Login page, click on Sign Up to Create New Account - OR - With a smartphone, follow the Quick Account Instructions on the second page of this letter.
Note: if students are under 13, and they create an account, they must know their parent/guardian’s email
address or mobile phone number. (COPPA COMPLIANCE)
● Choose the type of account you wish to create.
● Complete the requested information.
● Be sure when choosing your school that you choose the school the student is attending.

STEP 2. Link the Parent account to the Student(s) account.
You will be led through this process after creating an account. If you do not link accounts at the time of
account creation, you can always click the LINK ACCOUNT button at any time to complete or initiate the
linking process. Parents can link to as many student accounts as they wish by repeating the linking
invitation process.
STEP 3. Complete Athletic Forms as Advised.
Students with accounts may begin completing digital forms immediately.
Parents must be linked to a student account to see the electronic version of the forms. If they are not
linked, they will only see example PDF versions of the forms. You can complete forms or see their status
at any time by clicking on the ATHLETIC FORMS button.
For additional help please refer to the one-page help-guide below, access the complete online forms tips located in the light green bar at the top of the Athletic Forms page in your account or use the green self help button located on the top of your screen.
Athletes cannot participate in sports until digital forms are complete and approved unless otherwise specified by your school.
Forms will be valid for the entire school year for which they are filled out, with the exception of the physical exam provided by your physician which will reflect the policy set in place by your athletic department. Completing and having your Pre-Participation
Registration Forms accepted by your school does NOT guarantee you have made the team.
